Magnox, the organisation that runs and maintains the UK's nuclear power stations, asked Net.Mentor to help enhance its internal communications.

After a number of communications workshops, Net.Mentor was invited to produce a regular series of vodcasts aimed at informing Magnox staff about latest onsite developments, safety issues, maintenance programmes and community projects.

Net.Mentor with help from Associates Mentor Digital, developed the broadcast quality vodcasts and a content managed page for Magnox's intranet. Vicky Simm, Communications Support Officer for Magnox, takes up the story:

"Magnox needed to help its senior management team communicate more effectively with staff, many of whom worked 24-hour shifts.  We turned to Net.Mentor and Mentor Digital to help us run a vodcast trial.  The trial was so successful it was extended to include 18 four-minute vodcasts and an integrated, interactive upload area on the Magnox intranet.  It also led to Magnox winning Gold in the 2010 CIPR PRide Awards: Best use of Digital PR."
